My priority is to offer a non-judgmental, comfortable approach to care with a dose of humor to help you move forward from wherever it is that you may feel stuck in your life.
Yes, I treat the traditional clinical conditions of anxiety, depression, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. I also understand that the symptoms of all of these conditions can be exacerbated by other factors in our lives. What are our relationships like? What are our lifestyle choices like? What are we eating? How are we sleeping? How do we feel about ourselves? All of the answers to these questions play into what will provide the best treatment plan for you. Medication may be part of it, or it may not. I may recommend lifestyle changes and/or psychotherapy instead. I consider medication to be a tool, not a solution. Some clients may only need a few sessions to safely start a medication or adjust a dose. Other clients may prefer to engage in longer term treatment that includes both medication management and psychotherapy.
I do not accept insurance, however I will provide you with an invoice with appropriate billing codes to be submitted to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement.
Hi, I’m Lee Lee Milner and I would be honored to work with you.
My first priority is creating a non-judgmental space for every client that I work with. We will spend our first session exploring what has brought you to seek help. Then, together, we will create a treatment plan for you. I may recommend medication or I may recommend lifestyle modifications and psychotherapy first and medication second. Through our sessions together, we will explore your feelings, your relationships, and hopefully work our way into and through what is at the root of your suffering.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Colorado College, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from New York University, and a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Hunter College Graduate School of Nursing in Manhattan.
I have worked in psychiatry for 10 years, first as a psychiatric RN, then as an NP. I spent many years working with the underserved populations of NYC, doing crisis work and home outreach with dual diagnosis clients of all ages.
I also served as Adjunct Clinical Faculty at New York University, teaching nursing students therapeutic communication.
I have worked in private practice in NYC for the last four years, though the last two years I have seen clients in my private practice remotely via telepsychiatry.
I am a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in both NY and TN, and I maintain practices in both states.
I have spent years studying yoga, mindfulness, meditation, therapeutic writing, attachment theory, and various pyschoanalytic theories. I use a blend of all of this knowledge as well as the tool of medication in our work together. My greatest teacher however, has been my own healing process. My lessons from my own life and the work I have done with my own dark emotions (fear, anger, sadness, despair) have helped me to grow in an invaluable way. This ultimately allows me to hold a safer space for my clients in our work together.
I am a native Memphian, a 6th generation-er, and a graduate of Hutchison School. I love dogs and am fascinated by the attachments we form with them. I spend most of my free time either outside with my dogs, cooking, writing, or painting. Most days you will find my dog Goose (pictured above) in my office. Please let me know if you are allergic to dogs or have trauma related to dogs prior to your appointment.
